Case Study

US Air Force Patient Loading System

USAF

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

Wartech is prime contractor to the US Air Force for the Patient Loading System (PLS), a field-deployable ramp system that enables the evacuation of wounded warfighters from forward operating bases about high-deck tanker aircraft like the KC-10, KC-135 and KC-46.

OUR WORK:

Wartech performed all the design, engineering, analysis, program management, manufacturing and installation for a prototype PLS, then demonstrated it for the Air Force customer at Travis AFB and McConnell AFB, where it was well received.

Wartech executed a development and manufacturing process, including Wartech’s Parallel Analysis and Design (PAD) process, program management, manufacturing, configuration management and Integrated Master Schedule planning and deployment.

Quotation Marks

The ability to configure the device to meet the requirements of all three high-deck aircraft allows us to be adaptable to the aircraft available, even in the most resource-limited environment.
